Former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique has moved to the top of Chelsea’s targets to replace Antonio Conte this summer.
The Daily Mail reports that Enrique has become the most appealing options for the Blues as he remains without a club.
Both Diego Simeone and Massimo Allegri, who have also been long-term targets for Chelsea, are under contract at their respective clubs until 2020.
The Blues are hoping for a swift appointment should Conte leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
There is a growing belief that the Italian will leave the Bridge at the end of the season following continuous clashes with the Chelsea board over transfers.
Reports had suggested that Conte could remain at the club after Michael Emenalo left the club, but his departure is believed to have only added more difficulties to the relationship between the 48-year-old and the club.
Conte has clashed with both Diego Costa and David Luiz during his time at the Bridge, with the club frustrated by the way the Spanish striker’s time at the club came to an end.
