Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has hailed his former team after they ran out 3-1 winners vs Arsenal at the Emirates.
The Red Devils travelled to London knowing full well that only three points will put any real pressure on their rivals and league leaders Manchester City.
Thanks to a brace from academy product Jesse Lingard and a well placed finish from captain of the day Antonio Valencia, United managed to close the eight point gap to five points, although the Sky Blues have a game in hand.
The fiery match was filled with end to end action and was not short of drama after Paul Pogba was sent off for a bad stamp at Hector Bellerin.
Prior to his poor challenge, Pogba was one of the best players on the pitch, assisting twice and showing off with his skills and tricks, leaving Ferdinand in awe post-match.

Rio would’ve loved seeing his former team performing so well but he’ll be particularly pleased by the team’s solid defending.
Other than conceding a silly goal, the Red Devils made full use of their five man backline as Marcos Rojo, Valencia, Chris Smalling, Victor Lindelof and Ashley Young all impressed.
The defenders were assisted by the ever dutiful Nemanja Matic who did well to support his teammates in an adrenaline boosting game.
A win against the Gunners sets up the upcoming clash against Manchester City perfectly but Jose Mourinho will be missing key man Paul Pogba.
The Portuguese manager will have to pull out the tactical masterclass of the century to defeat an inform City without his star player.
