Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Phil Jones, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Nemanja Matic will return for the Manchester derby, adding that Marouane Fellaini will be assessed tomorrow.
Jones hasn’t featured for Manchester United since the defeat at Stamford Bridge while Zlatan missed the previous two games as he continues to bring his knee back to full strength.
Mourinho noted prior to the 2-1 win over CSKA Moscow that Matic was injured and claimed that Fellaini, whose knee problem has reemerged in recent weeks, had a ‘chance’ of featuring.
And the 54-year-old, speaking at a press conference ahead of the game, revealed that the aforementioned trio would all play but confirmed that Eric Bailly and Michael Carrick were still unavailable.
Mourinho: “Zlatan is available, Jones is available, Fellaini I have to wait until tomorrow, Carrick, Bailly not available. Matic is injured but he plays.” #mufc

The continued absence of Bailly from the squad is becoming a concern. He hasn’t played since early November and precious little detail has been given on the nature of his injury. Supporters will just hope they aren’t being kept in the dark over something more sinister than expected.
That said, the return of Jones bolsters United’s rearguard and supporters will be delighted at the prospect of Mourinho being able to test Man City’s back line with the sheer aerial presence of Matic, Zlatan and hopefully even Fellaini.
Pep Guardiola, meanwhile, has confirmed David Silva will start while Vincent Kompany and Fabian Delph face late fitness tests.
