Jose Mourinho has hit out at his Manchester United players for failing to take a litany of chances before Harry Maguire netted an injury time equaliser for Leicester City.
Man United received a handful of chances to kill the game in the second half after Daniel Amartey picked up a red card and Leicester poured forward in search of an equaliser.
But Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford, Henrikh Mkhitaryan all missed golden opportunities to put the game to bed and United were deservedly pegged back at the end.
Speaking after the game, Mourinho labelled his side’s finishing as a ‘joke’.
Mourinho: “We didn’t win because we missed incredible chances. I would say joke chances. In the last second of the game we make a big defensive mistake. It’s an accumulation of mistakes in an easy match to win.” #mufc

If Mourinho didn’t lambast his players for their in-game arrogance and complacency after Bristol City, they’ll need some goggles tonight.
This was nothing short of disgraceful – a word I don’t use often. To approach a series of late chances to add to their tally in such listless, lackadaisical fashion was nothing short of horrible to watch: pedestrian, indecisive, and languid, despite the pitch opening up for them for a good 20 minutes.
The manager doesn’t deserve blame here. His side, on paper, should have rolled Leicester over. That they didn’t was a damning indictment of just how far away United, collectively, really are from challenging for the title.
