Current Premier League champions Chelsea have received a huge transfer boost going into the January transfer window as Italian Serie A side Juventus revealed that left-back Alex Sandro will be available for £50m, according to a report on CalcioMercato.
The Blues have been after the Brazilian full-back since last summer, where Juventus wanted over £70m to open negotiations about selling him.
However, the Italian champions are now keen to open talks at £50m, a price which Chelsea can easily afford.
The Italian side do not want any offers below that price because it will be wasting their time and will be hoping not to sell him in January.
The club wants Sandro to finish the season with the Old Lady and then negotiate any potential move away from the club in the summer.
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has been desperate to add quality and depth to his squad since the beginning of last summer but a failure to do so sees his side in third place in the Premier League table.
Sandro hasn’t found the form that he had in previous seasons and this could be because of a desire to move away from the club.
Juventus are already lining up replacements for the Brazilian.
