Chelsea in a good spot says in-form defender

Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen says the Premier League champions are in a good place, despite their 11-point gap behind leaders Manchester City.

Speaking to the club’s official website after the 1-0 win over Swansea City on Wednesday night, Christensen praised his team-mates after what was a frustrating night for the Blues.

I’m happy with the way I’m performing and the team are performing. We’re getting the points that are necessary and I’m enjoying playing my football.

A second-half goal from Antonio Rudiger gave Chelsea all three points against a resilient Swansea side.

The frustrations got the better of Antonio Conte on the night too, the Italian was sent to the stands in the first half and has recently been charged by the FA as a result.

Chelsea remain three points behind Manchester United in second but could move level on points with Jose Mourinho’s side this weekend if other results go in favour of the Premier League champions.
