It’s Arsenal versus Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium. The rivalry may not be what it was a decade ago but it still promises to be a crucial match for both teams.
The Gunners go into the match with that wonderful home record while Mourinho’s United need a win to try and keep in touch with Manchester City.
Both sides need a win and now, Arsene Wenger has given his team news for the clash.
“Lacazette has a groin problem and will certainly be out for Saturday’s game,” Wenger said in his pre-match press conference.
“Everybody else looks to be okay. Sanchez had a little hamstring problem that’s why I took him off but I think he’ll be alright.”
So, Lacazette is out for the match meaning that Arsenal’s prolific front three won’t be able to play together. Wenger was asked about his solution to the problem.
“We have offensive weapons,” he went on. “We have Welbeck, Giroud, we have Wilshere who came on.
“They are all offensive players so I will see what I do for Saturday. Ideally, we wanted him [Lacazette] there.”
It’s a huge match for Arsene Wenger and Arsenal. The Gunners will want all three points from the match to continue their excellent home form but it will be harder without Alexandre Lacazette. However, the match will provide a good opportunity for Danny Welbeck to try and grab a goal against his former club.
