Chelsea and Newcastle have agreed terms over a loan deal for Kenedy, but the Magpies will need to wait to get their man.
The Northern Echo reports that Chelsea have agreed terms with last season’s Championship winners, but like the summer, they want to keep hold of Kenedy until they complete their own business.
The report suggests that Chelsea are in the market for another left-sided player, with Kenedy largely used as a rotation option in cup competitions.
The Brazilian has been used as a back-up to Marcos Alonso at left-wing back but has rarely challenged the Spaniard for a starting berth.
Newcastle were heavily linked with a move for Kenedy during the summer transfer window but were unable to get a deal across the line.
The Brazilian joined Chelsea in the summer of 2016 with a lot of potential but a lack of game time and off-the-field issues during pre-season have held him back.
