Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has admitted that he does not get the final say on who the club will sign in the January transfer window.
Speaking ahead of the upcoming winter window where it is speculated that Conte will be looking to make a number of changes to his squad, the Italian revealed that ultimately it isn’t up to him what happens. He said;
As you know very well, I stay here to work. I’m a coach.
For the transfer market, there is the club. You have to ask the club.
I can give my opinion to my club, but the last word is with the club.
I have to respect every decision of the club. This must be very clear.
Chelsea have been linked with a number of players over the past few months, as they look to strengthen ahead of an unlikely Premier League title chase and their upcoming Champions League Round of 16 tie against Barcelona.
Just some of the linked names include Juventus’ Alex Sandro, Everton’s Ross Barkley and Monaco’s Thomas Lemar.
