Chelsea tried hard in the summer to complete a deal to bring Alex Sandro to the club from Juventus but the Serie A champions repeatedly blocked the Blues’ advances.
Antonio Conte remains eager on adding a left-back to his squad to compete with Marcos Alonso for a place in the team and it’s believed that Chelsea will try again for Sandro in January, but they will face competition from Manchester United.
Juventus valued the defender at £80m in the summer which forced Chelsea to reconsider their options after having multiple bids rejected at a lower valuation.
After new contract talks stalled, Sandro is believed to have informed Juventus of his desire to leave the club and that his preferred destination is Stamford Bridge as opposed to Old Trafford.
Out-of-favour Tottenham defender Danny Rose is also a reported target for both Chelsea and Manchester United when the January transfer window opens next month.
