Man United fans react to Martial's performance vs Newcastle

Manchester United fans were delighted with their young French star Anthony Martial after his impressive, goalscoring display vs Newcastle United at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils desperately needed three points in the bag after Manchester City beat Leicester City and after a worrying start, managed to win the match 4-1.

Jose Mourinho’s men conceded first after the away team began the clash with fierce intensity that had United playing catch-up.

Thankfully the team did catch up and eventually made it look like it was an easy win with Martial performing admirably.

Finally starting a match after putting together a string of good appearances off of the bench, the talented youngster did not disappoint with a pinpoint header from close range.

Fans were delighted with the former Monaco man’s display and were perhaps even happier to see him play alongside Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford.

Rashford and Anthony have often played at the expense of each other’s place in the starting XI but Mourinho may considering playing them together more often after today’s performance.

Paul Pogba was the man to assist his fellow Frenchman and Manchester United fans will be hoping to see that partnership grow even further.

United’s comeback victory was particularly pleasing after a dip in form in recent matches left Jose’s team in a worrying position.

Eight points behind league leaders and arch rivals Manchester City, the Red Devils will have to embark on a winning run in the hopes of catching the Sky Blues.
