Chelsea are prepared to re-open contract talks with goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois before the end of the season.
According to The Telegraph, Chelsea will discuss the terms of a new deal towards the end of the campaign.
Courtois’ current deal expires at the end of next season, with it being thought that he could leave the club on a free.
The report claims that Chelsea are worried that Courtois is prepared to make a move away, with reports earlier this summer linking him with Spanish giants Real Madrid.
The Telegraph also claim that Madrid’s interest has sparked interest from PSG and Juventus, who are also looking at their goalkeeping options going forward.
Gianluigi Buffon is set to retire at the end of the season, with Juventus viewing Courtois a potential successor to the Italian legend.
The report also claims that Courtois is wanting a pay increase in the region of £100k. He currently earns £100k-per-week, but is wanting to double that – with Manchester United’s David De Gea on £200k-per-week.
