'Secret' third Arsenal transfer planned after Odegaard and Ramsdale

Arsenal are closing-in on the transfers of Real Madrid’s Martin Odegaard and Sheffield United’s Aaron Ramsdale, with both likely to be announced imminently. However, it’s reported that the Gunners are working on a third ‘secret’ transfer.

With the future’s of strikers Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang both in-doubt, Arsenal’s attention has turned to alternative goalscorers, with a report in the Express naming Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard, Napoli’s Dries Mertens, Lille’s Jonathan David and Real Madrid’s Luka Jovic as replacements.

If a striker isn’t found, or isn’t required, a right-back is likely to be manager Mikel Arteta’s top priority. A surprising name being linked to north London is Barcelona’s Emerson Royal.

For those not in the know regarding Royal, the 22-year-old Brazilian is on the books at financially stricken Barcelona, having spent the last couple of seasons out on-loan at Real Betis.
