Manchester United may have to prepare for the departure of Jesse Lingard as it appears he’s wanted by two Premier League sides according to reports.
The versatile Englishman has essentially had no role to play for his team ever since the arrival of Bruno Fernandes a year ago.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer heavily relied on Andreas Pereira and Lingard for the number ten role before the Portuguese magician joined.
Many fans cricitised the legendary Norwegian for it and he eventually gave up on the underwhelming pair and purchased Bruno.
It’s safe to say that was the right call but it means the academy graduate has hardly had a sniff of first-team action and is believed to be looking to leave.
According to The Star, Sheffield United have been keeping an eye on Lingard ahead of potential move while West Ham are understood to have made contact already with his agent.
David Moyes is now the manager of the Hammers and so he will know more about what the pacy attacker can bring to the table.
It’s unlikely Lingard will move anywhere that doesn’t promise him regular first-team football but he should be able to slot in at either side easily.
Although he’s an academy product, most fans would feel it’s the right move for his career given how he’s on the fringes of the first-team already.
Manchester United have fielded some of the worlds greatest centre backs over the years, but how much do you know about them? Take our quiz below to find out!
