Manchester United legend Roy Keane was clearly impressed by his side’s performance vs Liverpool despite the stalemate.
The two English giants went head to head in a fixture that seemed crucial in the race for the Premier League title.
United were far more impressive in the second-half and arguably deserved to win but unfortunately, a combination of poor finishing and good saves meant they missed out on all three points.
In the first-half Liverpool dominated without necessarily creating anything of note as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men relied on their defence to save the day.
The Red Devils all worked hard though and put in a performance they can be pleased with, at least according to Keane.
Roy Keane: “The progress that United have made over the six months that we’re even discussing if they should’ve won it when they’re top of the league, it’s progress. They should be encouraged.” [Sky]

Manchester United’s progress has been more and more evident of late as they managed to match results to their performances.
It meant Solskjaer lead his side to the top of the league which is something that hasn’t happened in quite a while and has excited supporters.
Keane is normally massively critical of United but it’s safe to say he’s been happy with what he’s seen of late.
Solskjaer’s men still need to do more if they want to make a lasting impact on the season and they should be ok if they put out similar performances with a bit more edge.
Manchester United have fielded some of the worlds greatest centre backs over the years, but how much do you know about them? Take our quiz below to find out!
