Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that he has a few injury concerns ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash with Liverpool at Anfield.
Speaking at today’s pre-match press conference, the boss did not reveal the players involved but said there were some doubts.
‘We have as many injuries as them [Liverpool]. That’s part of football.
‘You get injuries, I’ll give everyone tomorrow as well to prove their fitness to get a chance to play in that game.
‘There were a couple of knocks that we got at Burnley that I’m not sure about.’
One of those is almost certainly Anthony Martial, who appeared to pick up a groin injury toward the end of that Burney game.
‘Anthony is not out of it, the only ones that are certainly out are Brandon and Phil Jones, they’re the two who definitely cannot make the game. A couple of others may be doubts but we’re keeping our fingers crossed.’
Solskjaer also said his team was confident but revealed that he still saw United as the underdogs going into the fixture.
‘Our form gives us confidence, but we are the challengers, they are the champions. We are the hunters, we want something they’ve had.
‘Our mentality will be to be humble and to try to get something out of the game.
‘When you look at results over the last few seasons, It would be an upset, it would be a shock. We’re looking forward to the game and hope we can cause an upset.’
‘We know we can go anywhere and beat anyone on any given day.’
