Manchester United will find out today who their opponents will be in the UEFA Europa League Round of 32.
The Red Devils have dropped down to Europe’s second competition after finishing third behind RB Leipzig and Paris St Germain in Champions League Group H.
They now have a chance to improve on their performance in last season’s Europa League, when they were beaten in the semi-finals by Sevilla.
United are one of 16 seeded teams and cannot play another seed. This means that their opponents in the Round of 32 will be one of the following: Antwerp, Benfica, Braga, Crvena Zvezda, Dynamo Kyiv, Granada, Krasnodar, LOSC Lille, Maccabi Tel-Aviv, Molde, Olympiacos, Real Sociedad, Salzburg, Slavia Prague, Wolfsberg or Young Boys.
Some of the more mouthwatering possibilities among that group include old rivals Benfica from Portugal, in-form Spanish side Real Sociedad and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s former club, Molde.
Seeded teams that the Reds could meet later in the competition include Chris Smalling’s Roma, Napoli, AC Milan and Ajax along with English clubs Arsenal, Spurs and Leicester. Club Brugge, Dinamo Zagreb, Hoffenheim, Leverkusen, PSV Eindhoven, Rangers, Shakhtar Donetsk and Villarreal are the other contenders.
The draw will take place at 12 noon UK time.
United will play the first leg away on Thursday 18th February and the second at Old Trafford on the 25th February.
