RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner has made an interesting admission, opening to door to a move to England amid heavy links to Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United.
The Germany international has scored 25 goals in 28 games this season and only turns 24 next month, making him one of Europe’s most coveted frontmen.
In an interview with German newspaper Kicker, Werner admitted that he’d enjoy playing in the Premier League amid clear interest in his services:
I can generally imagine playing abroad one day, although I don’t have any specific club where I want to be. I am open for everything. I was over in America for a holiday recently and English football was on all of the time. That’s an exclamation mark for the Premier League. But there are also big, famous clubs and it would certainly be fun playing there.

Werner is rightly considered as one of the hottest players in Europe’s top five leagues right now, scoring 86 goals and providing 37 assists in 142 games since joining Leipzig in 2016.
Although I think he’d be more than the ideal striker signing for Frank Lampard, I just can’t see past fellow countryman Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool in the race for his signature.
He’s continuously been linked with a move to the Reds for some time now and, honestly, who wouldn’t want to join the English champions-elect right now?
At the end of the day, a lot of Premier League clubs could afford him, but it’ll probably come down to where his preference lies.
It’s going to be intriguing to see where he ends up and if he even arrives in English football, but I think his current focus will be solely on the Bundesliga title race, with Leipzig sitting just one point off the league summit.
