Bukayo Saka was the pick of Arsenal’s young guns as they secured a 2-1 FA Cup win over AFC Bournemouth.

Team News – Match Reports – Player Ratings
Match: AFC Bournemouth v Arsenal
Venue: Vitality Stadium, Bournemouth
Kick-Off (UK Time): 20:00 27/01/2020
—–
Here’s how we rate Mikel Arteta and the Arsenal players:
Mikel Arteta – 8
There can’t be many complaints with Mikel Arteta’s preparation, lineup, or tactics here. The Gunners looked better-drilled and secured a good win with this mixture of youth and experience.
Emiliano Martinez – 5
It wasn’t his best night. Emiliano Martinez produced a couple of good saves but a couple of potentially dangerous errors as well.
Hector Bellerin – 6
It was another steady night for Hector Bellerin. The Spaniard coped well with playing two games in a week. There were no wonder goals from Bellerin but he did shine at times moving forward despite getting caught out defensively a couple of times.
Sokratis Papastathopoulos – 6
Sokratis did well enough. He stood up to the test defensively despite missing a couple of matches.
Shkodran Mustafi – 7
It was a shame to see Shkodran Mustafi leave the pitch. The former Germany international put in a good performance on the night, showcasing an excellent range of passing and remaining steady at the back.
Sub: Rob Holding (61′) – 6
He looked a little rusty.
Bukayo Saka – 8.5
It was a standout performance from Bukayo Saka yet again. The Englishman may not be playing in his best position but he was excellent. He scored a fantastic goal and laid another one on a plate for Eddie Nketiah to cap a solid night. Saka battled defensively and did what Sead Kolasinac often struggles to do at left-back: keep possession.
Matteo Guendouzi – 7.5
It was a mature all-around midfield display from Matteo Guendouzi. He showed great character in the centre of the park both with the ball and without it. He may only be a year or two older than some of his teammates today but he looked responsible throughout.
Granit Xhaka – 7
He was solid yet again. Granit Xhaka did well in midfield and looked comfortable on the occasions he had to move back into defence to cover.
Joe Willock – 7
He came off the boil after the break but Joe Willock shone in the first half. He was creative and mobile, moving the ball just as well by himself or moving it along to other players. There was a lot to like about Willock today.
Sub: Ainsley Maitland-Niles (92′) – N/A
Barely involved
Nicolas Pepe – 6
He did okay. Nicolas Pepe had a couple of flashes in attack but he just couldn’t get the openings he wanted to in front of goal.
Sub: Dani Ceballos (69′) – 5
Kept the ball but didn’t do much with it.
Eddie Nketiah – 7
Eddie Nketiah put in a solid performance upfront. He held the ball up well when needed but it was his movement that really stood out. Nketiah always looked in the right position.
Gabriel Martinelli – 6
It wasn’t quite as impressive a performance as his previous one but Gabriel Martinelli can still be pleased with his night. The Brazilian worked hard and looked good in possession, setting up the first goal. He started well but his influence waned.
