Manchester United continue to keep a ‘very close’ eye on Ralf Rangnick as the club looks for a potential replacement for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, according to a report.
The Norwegian came under fresh pressure over the weekend following the club’s 1-0 defeat at Bournemouth – their fourth loss of the season.
Reports have previously suggested that Rangnick, former manager at RB Leipzig, was being monitored as a replacement.
According to The Athletic, United are closely monitoring the German’s situation ahead of potentially sacking Solskjaer should results fail to improve.

Rangnick has also emerged on the radar of Bayern Munich, who sacked Niko Kovac on Sunday night following a 5-1 defeat at Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 64-year-old is a wise, intelligent man whose role at RB Leipzig, along with serving as manager, largely revolved around overseeing player development and laying down a long-term strategy that Leipzig are currently following – with great success – under the exciting young manager Julian Nagelsmann.
