Man Utd fans buzzing, key player continues goalscoring form over international break

Manchester United supporters were delighted to see Marcus Rashford maintain his excellent goalscoring form during England’s 7-0 win over Montenegro at Wembley on Thursday.

The 22-year-old has enjoyed an impressive run in front of goal since the October international break, netting eight goals in nine games for club and country.

His strike in the first half against Montenegro was indicative of a player dripping with confidence in the box, and was somewhat reminiscent of the first goal he scored during that 2-1 win over Liverpool in March 2018, cutting inside and drilling into the far bottom corner.

United fans were quick to point out that, deployed on the left, Rashford serves as a truly frightening proposition.

The confidence running through Rashford at the moment is a delightful sight, and can be put down to the simple fact that his level becomes notably elevated by the presence of good players around him.

At United, the return of Anthony Martial‘s movement down the middle has been salutary, while at England he has a litany of teammates with whom he seems to have a natural chemistry.

Most of all, though, Rashford is becoming something of a talismanic figure at the age of just 22.
