Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seemed to react in a more level-headed manner to the loss to Bournemouth than fans did but his comments are likely to upset them.
The legendary Norwegian watched on helplessly as his side fell to a 1-0 defeat despite their recent form picking up after three straight wins against Partizan, Norwich and Chelsea.
United were toothless, uninspiring and filled with errors as they hardly looked like scoring an equaliser let alone a winner.
Fans were confused over the change in performances and were obviously disappointed but Solskjaer’s words are unlikely to soothe them.
It was a day when it was difficult to think of one pleasing performance from the squad and it’ll be a while before supporters can shake it off.
Solskjær: "I thought respond second half. At least we went for it. We didn't stop trying, but it was the lack of quality that couldn't give us a point or three." #mulive

‘At least we went for it’ is almost David Moyes-ian and fans were often on his back for saying the wrong things pre-match and post-match.
The Scotsman once said Manchester United aspire to be like their fierce rivals Manchester City and that definitely rubbed fans off the wrong way.
In fairness to Solskjaer, his bench was rather weak when he turned to it with three of the players being academy players who can’t be expected to turn the match on its head.
