Manchester United great Rio Ferdinand has sent fans calling for the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer a strong message, essentially dismissing their reactive concerns.
The legendary Norwegian finds himself already under pressure despite it only being September due to his club’s uninspiring form.
In the Premier League United have, in order, beaten Chelsea convincingly, drawn with Wolves disappointingly, lost shockingly to Crystal Palace at Old Trafford, tied with 10-man Southampton, scraped by 1-0 against Leicester and finally, lost 2-0 to West Ham.
It’s hardly form that’s needed to reach their targets for the season with just two wins out of the six played so far.
Ferdinand is clearly of the belief that Solskjaer shouldn’t be sacked and has ridiculed the notion of consistently changing managers.

There have been a few criticisms of Solskjaer that he should address whether directly or indirectly but there shouldn’t be a doubt over whether he’s right man in charge, at least for the time being.
For example, the former striker has been accused of having poor in game management skills in terms of substitutions or even tactics.
This is a fair criticism but has to be limited in the sense that Solskjaer’s options off the bench are often poor in the first place.
