Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed what type of forwards he likes after admitting admiration for Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy.
The legendary Norwegian watched on as his side narrowly edged a 1-0 win over the Foxes thanks to a Marcus Rashford penalty.
Vardy was impressive on the day with his tireless runs and pressure but fortunately for United he couldn’t get his name on the scoresheet.
Solskjaer’s known for his love for pace, energy and direct attacking style so it’s no surprise he admires the experienced Englishman.
Perhaps the former striker is hoping Rashford could emulate Vardy and so has dropped his name in an interview to inspire the United man.
Solskjær: "I thought they [Lindelof & Maguire] did excellently today. They read the game well. I've got loads of admiration for Vardy. I think he's my type of centre-forward. Runs in behind, harasses. You've got to be spot on with the decision making." #mulive

Rashford has, statistically speaking, had an impressive season so far, netting thrice and assisting once in five games but criticism still heads his way as many feel he could still offer even more.
Although the young Englishman scored and was tireless with his running throughout, he didn’t offer much of a threat going forward.
However, it could also be argued this was due to him being isolated and due to Manchester United failing to keep the ball well in the first place.
It’s safe to say Rashford’s currently auditioning for the striker role in the absence of Anthony Martial but it seems he will lose his place the moment his teammate becomes available once more.
