A second-half strike from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was enough for Arsenal to get all three points against Newcastle.

Team News – Player Ratings – Match Highlights
Match: Newcastle United v Arsenal
Stadium: St. James’ Park, Newcastle
Kick-Off (UK Time): 14:00 11/08/2019

The first match of a new season excites every football fan but for the Gunners, it was a particularly intriguing opener.
Arsenal’s new signings didn’t make the starting lineup against Newcastle United but the team still needed to get a result.
They started well enough against Steve Bruce’s Newcastle but couldn’t find a way to break them down.
It seemed like just a matter of time until Unai Emery called upon at least one of the options on the bench to make a difference but he didn’t have to.
After 55 minutes, Ainsley Maitland-Niles stole the ball back and drove forward down the right. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was unmarked in the middle and the Englishman found him with a good cross. Aubameyang was the coolest man in the stadium as he brought the ball down and opened his account for the season.
Dani Ceballos and Nicolas Pepe entered the fray after the break for their Arsenal debuts but the Gunners didn’t need another.
