Manchester United have reportedly been given a fitness boost ahead of their difficult test in their upcoming pre-season friendly clash with Tottenham.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have won all of their matches so far, overcoming Perth Glory, making light work of Leeds United and even dominating against Inter Milan.
United have looked sharp all summer long and much of it has to do with the legendary Norwegian’s fitness work.
The players are currently undergoing gruelling training sessions to prepare them for the season as they aim to bounce back from last year’s disappointing campaign.
The pressure is on Solskjaer to turn things around and make his mark on this squad so even a pre-season win means more than it normally does.
According to Manchester Evening News, Romelu Lukaku, Victor Lindelof and Tahith Chong were all present in training after their various injuries concerned fans.
The powerful Belgian hasn’t featured in any of the Red Devils’ pre-season matches while both the intelligent Swede and pacy Dutchman were taken off against Inter as a precaution.
Lindelof and Chong will probably feature at some point against Tottenham but there’s no such guarantee with Lukaku.
The want-away striker may not even be handed vital minutes as Ole could opt to focus on his players that do want to be at the club.
