Manchester United are reportedly angry with football agents as rumours continue to swirl over the futures of Sporting Lisbon’s Bruno Fernandes and Lille’s Nicolas Pepe.
The pair have been heavily linked with a transfer to Old Trafford yet nothing solid has happened as of yet to suggest a move could actually happen.
United have attempted to navigate a tricky and inflated transfer market somewhat successfully so far but risk the summer being labeled a poor one if they don’t bring in more signings.
Fernandes was seen as the perfect addition to a lacklustre midfield (barring Pogba) while Pepe was meant to add depth to an attack that could be without Romelu Lukaku.
However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have finally become angry after being reported to have an interest in just about every player in Europe.
According to Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils have not made an approach for Bruno and have not held discussions with Nicolas, leaving them frustrated by reports claiming otherwise as they feel agents are using the club’s name to whip up a transfer frenzy.
This does make sense as neither player suits Solskjaer’s transfer policy of signing upcoming, British talent who have potential to go to the next level at Old Trafford.
