Manchester United star Paul Pogba hasn’t been as disruptive as previously reported by a few newspapers and websites, at least according to a former member of the club.
It’s believed Jose Mourinho labelled the sensational Frenchman a virus, suggesting he was the cause of the dressing room chaos and the downturn in the club’s fortunes.
With the talented midfielder not performing consistently enough in the eyes of some fans, it was easy to turn him into a scapegoat.
Pogba’s constant flirtations with other clubs has also not endeared him to supporters either and so they quickly turned on him.
However, it seems there’s more than meets the eye with the former Juventus man who may yet remain at Old Trafford beyond the summer.
According to All About United, a former Red Devils youth player said: “In training, Pogba would always say ‘if you don’t know what to do, pass it to me even if I’m marked.’
“Nobody at the club would have a bad word to say about him. From the chefs to the coaches, the teachers and all other staff.”
Perhaps the above coupled with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s insistence that there are no problems with Pogba since he’s been an absolute delight and professional so far, it would make sense why the club are so keen on holding on to him.
Besides the off the pitch mess, the World Cup winner would be near impossible to replace, not only in terms of quality but also in terms of the incompetence of the board.
Clubs will know just how much Manchester United sold Paul for and will pretty much hold them ransom over any player they’re interested in signing as a replacement.
