Chelsea have been handed a boost ahead of next season as Antonio Rudiger posted a positive injury update on his social media.
The Germany international posted a video of himself training and working with the ball on Twitter, as he steps up his recovery from the hip problem he sustained against Manchester United in April.
Rudiger missed Chelsea’s last five games of the season, including the Europa League triumph against Arsenal and both legs of the semi-final against Eintracht Frankfurt, but the defender appears to be recovering well ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.

Chelsea kick off their pre-season with a friendly against Irish outfit Bohemians on Wednesday night, in what is set to be Frank Lampard’s first game in charge since being named as Maurizio Sarri’s replacement.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Reece James have all also stepped up their respective recoveries from injury ahead of next season.
