La Liga giants Atletico Madrid have reportedly ended their interest in Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso.
According to reliable Spanish reporter Antonio Ruiz, Diego Simeone’s side have ultimately been put off by the Blues’ €40m asking price.

Recent reports claimed that Alonso was keen on a move to the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium this summer and even agreed on personal terms ahead of a proposed move back to Spain.
However, the latest story suggests that the Spaniard will now not attempt to force a move away from Stamford Bridge ahead of the new season due to Maurizio Sarri’s departure.
The Blues look set to be unable to bring in any additions this summer due to a two-window transfer ban, so the next Chelsea manager will have Alonso, Emerson and teenager Jay Dasilva as the left-back options.
The set-piece specialist, who joined the Blues from Fiorentina back in 2016, will more than likely be first-choice left-back again next season, with former midfielder Frank Lampard the likely candidate to take over at Stamford Bridge.
