Chelsea are yet to ask about the possibility of their two-window transfer ban being frozen.
Earlier this year, Chelsea were banned by FIFA for violating transfer rules when it comes to signing youth players.
The Blues were banned from transfer activities until the end of the January 2020 window. The London club were also given a £460,000 fine by FIFA.
Chelsea had their appeal to FIFA rejected so their only hope left of signing players for at least this summer is through appealing to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
CAS can freeze their ban for this summer, enabling the Blues to sign players freely, however, Chelsea are yet to apply for that, according to Matt Law of The Telegraph.
Last week the Blues confirmed that star man Eden Hazard had left the club to join Spanish giants Real Madrid in a deal worth £130 million.
Losing a player of Eden Hazard’s calibre alone is a big blow but to not be able to replace him or at least try is just so devastating for the London side, who also look set to lose their manager as well.
It was reported by Sky Sports News that Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri will be allowed to leave the Blues this week for Juventus.
