Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira has admitted that he “misses Italy” amid reports of interest from AC Milan.
There aren’t many players who Arsenal fans agree on but midfielder Lucas Torreira is certainly one of them.
The 23-year-old has only been in North London for a year but has made a big impression in the centre of the club’s midfield.
So, it was a surprise to see him linked with a return to Italy this week, something which the former Sampdoria man commented on.
“I don’t know if there’s a lot of things that I’m enjoying because I think I liked living in Italy more,” Torreira confessed in an interview.

“London is a completely different world. England is a very big country. I had trouble wit hthe language, communicating with my teammates, with the people.
“It’s pretty rough in certain moments when you can’t have any dialogue, that’s the most important part. The weather is also difficult, you go out in the morning and it’s cloudy and you get back after training it’s still cloudy.
“I miss the sun. Mostly us South Americans are used to having sunny days. But I think I’ll get used to it as the years go by.”
It’s an interesting series of quotes from Lucas Torreira. It can be difficult for some players to settle in a new country and the midfielder reportedly had troubles doing just that last season. Hopefully, things will improve as time goes by because he has impressed in an Arsenal shirt.
