Manchester United have reportedly agreed personal terms with Swansea City star Daniel James, potentially signalling their first signing of the summer.
The youngster emerged as a transfer target fairly recently but also out of the blue with hardly any outlets predicting the move.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has previously insisted his desire is to bring in young, British talent in a bid to return his club back to their former glory.
James certainly fits the profile but he is relatively unknown to many fans who will be keen to see what he can bring to the table.
The right-wing needing investment is no secret to any United fan and it’s good to see Solskjaer has addressed it quickly.
According to Sky Sports, the Red Devils are yet to come to an agreement over a fee with Swansea but they are close to succumbing to the £15m asking price.
The money involved really isn’t much but perhaps Ole’s side are weary of overpaying when they don’t need too even if the price-tag is small.
After all, James has just a year left to his contract and would obviously be keen on a move to Old Trafford, leaving Manchester United in the driving seat for negotiations.
