Chelsea have reportedly stepped up their interest in Marseille centre-back Boubacar Kamara by sending scouts to watch him in action, according to Mercato365, relayed by Sport Witness.
The report claims that Blues scouts watched Kamara in the 3-0 defeat to Lyon on Sunday.
The 19-year-old has featured heavily for Marseille this season under Rudi Garcia, making 35 appearances in all competitions.
His consistent displays have caught the eye of Chelsea, who have been monitoring the teenager in recent months.
Kamara has been regarded as a future star by Marseille officials, however, securing a potential deal may prove difficult for Chelsea.
The club had their transfer ban appeal turned down by FIFA last week, however, Chelsea look set to take that appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
If the appeal is successful, Chelsea may see their ban frozen over the summer, which could allow the club to land Kamara over the summer.
