Olivier Giroud has enjoyed a great season of European football for the Blues but has been left frustrated with the lack of game time in the Premier League, however, the Frenchman is set to stay at Stamford Bridge.
The striker has been an important player in the Blues’ Europa League campaign that ends with them meeting Arsenal later this the month.
The lack of game time in the Premier League left Giroud contemplating his future but it seems the former Arsenal man has had a change in heart.
According to the Evening Standard, French clubs Nice, Marseille, Bordeaux and Lyon have been in the race to sign the forward but the club appear to have convinced him to stay for at least another season.
Giroud joined Chelsea from Arsenal in the winter transfer window of 2018 after enjoying a fantastic career in North London.
The 32-year-old faces his former side in the Europa League final in Baku and he will be looking to add another goal to his name to win the Europa League golden boot.
