Manchester United reportedly have a plan in place in case Paul Pogba’s transfer to Real Madrid becomes a reality.
The two clubs are constantly after each other’s stars with Gareth Bale and now Raphael Varane linked with a move to Old Trafford while the Frenchman is linked with a transfer to Spain.
Pogba’s departure would be a serious loss to United particularly because of how the club has recently been on the rise.
Jose Mourinho appeared to have steadied the ship after finishing in second place last season but things didn’t go to plan this season.
Luckily Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has rescued the campaign and there was hopes he could build on his progress next season but he will need the former Juventus man.
According to Metro, Marca report that Solskjaer knows Paul wants to leave and will take advantage of Real’s interest by making a move for Bale and Varane.
Perhaps attempting to sign both players is ambitious for the Red Devils so it’s likely they’ll get one or the other for the academy product.
It makes sense for Ole to use Madrid’s interest in Pogba to resolve one of his side’s other issues but it would mean the player would need to be replaced nonetheless.
