It was a must-win match for Arsenal as they continued their hunt for the top four but things took a turn for the worst in the first half.

A simple free kick came into the box and Christian Benteke was left unmarked to score for Palace inside 30 minutes.

The alarm bells were ringing for Arsenal at the back but they found a way back into the match through Mesut Ozil after halftime.

But defensive problems came back to haunt the Gunners as a whole host of errors led to the visitors scoring two goals in the space of ten minutes.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang pulled one back for the home side to set up a late surge but it wasn’t enough as Arsenal squandered their chance to go third.
