Manchester United are reportedly interested in bringing in Lyon’s Tanguy Ndombele as they gear up for a summer overhaul.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is said to be keen on bringing in a central midfielder, attacking-midfielder, full-back and right-winger.
Ndombele would be a solid investment for the first position though he has some competition in Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba and Ander Herrera.
However, the former Juventus man has been linked with a move to Real Madrid while the Spaniard is on his way to PSG if reports are to be believed.
There’s also the feeling that Matic needs replacing or at the very least to have some cover provided for him.
According to Sport Witness, L’Equipe report that while the Red Devils’ interest in Tanguy is ‘concrete’, they still have some persuading to do to win him over.
It’s believed the 22 year old needs to be convinced over the club’s ability to compete at the highest level before committing himself to a move.
Manchester United aren’t normally used to having to win over the players they’re signing given how their reputation is appealing enough.
However, the club has struggled to compete at the highest level since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement so it does make a little sense.
