Callum Hudson-Odoi has limped off during the first half of Chelsea’s thrilling encounter with Burnley at Stamford Bridge.
The winger went down after stretching to control the ball in what appeared to be a potentially serious injury, with the 18-year-old struggling to put weight onto his leg as he hobbled off.
Hudson-Odoi has enjoyed a recent run in the first team in recent weeks after becoming frustrated with his lack of game time in the first half of the season, and this injury could be a big setback for the youngster.
Four first half goals have seen the two sides go into half time level at 2-2, with a quartet of well-taken goals.
Jeff Hendrick scored a fine volley to give Burnley a surprise lead after a bright start from the Blues, who equalised through N’Golo Kante four minutes later.
Gonzalo Higuain put Maurizio Sarri’s side in front with a thunderous strike from a tight angle that crashed in off the crossbar, before Ashley Barnes equalised for the Clarets in a frantic opening 45 minutes.
