N’Golo Kante picked up an injury during Monday night’s draw against Burnley which saw the Blues narrowly move back into the top four.
Kante and Huson-Odoi both picked up knocks with the Englishman’s injury keeping him out for the rest of the season.
However, fortunately for Chelsea, Evening Standard journalist Simon Johnson tweeted after the game about Kante, providing an injury update on the midfielder.
Twitter: Some good news for #cfc at least. #Kante only suffered a contusion to his ribs and is expected to be okay to face #mufc (@sjstandardsport)
The French international was replaced in the 46th minute by Mateo Kovacic, but it was later confirmed that Kante should be fit to face Manchester United on Sunday.
This is a massive boost for Chelsea’s top four ambitions as the 28-year-old is an important figure in the team.
With only three games left for Chelsea, any positive injury news is always good. As for Huson-Odoi, his incredible first season has abruptly ended.
