Manchester United star Romelu Lukaku had a day to forget after facing and losing to his former side Everton.
The Toffees thoroughly beat Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men, winning 4-0 at home to put a serious dent in the club’s ambitions for a top four spot.
Lukaku wasn’t the only man to blame for the result but fans were frustrated with his front play, believing United couldn’t attack because of his poor performance.
The Belgian led the line for Solskjaer but ultimately put in a rather toothless shift though his teammates were equally poor.
Romelu was given the rare opportunity to play in his preferred position having accommodated Marcus Rashford so often under the new manager but he failed miserably in convincing he was worthy of the start.

The aerial duels won is encouraging but it is shocking that he couldn’t create a single chance for his teammates let alone not having any shots at all.
Possession lost is obviously terrible but given how everyone was losing the ball endlessly, it can’t be looked into too much.
Even Lukaku’s wingers, Anthony Martial and Rashford, had more shots than he did which puts his own performance in perspective.
The former Chelsea man’s only saving grace was how he appeared to be one of the Red Devils’ more hardworking players on the day.
