Manchester United have had more woes added to their current situation with Gareth Southgate confirming Marcus Rashford has been sent back home.
The Englishman was one of the few stars who actually turned up for international duty but it appears he will be unable to pull through for the two matches.
Rashford suffered an injury during United’s clash with Liverpool and it initially seemed as though he would be out for a while but he soon returned.
Having been called up for England’s international fixtures, many believed the youngster was fully fit until Southgate confirmed the bad news.
Marcus is a crucial part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side and his injury is sure to do damage to the Red Devils’ results.
Southgate: “He's (Rashford) been with the medical team all week. It's clear to us he's not ready for our matches, so we have sent him back to his club. He is out of the two games.” #mufc [MU]

It’s a little strange Rashford wasn’t sent back to the club right away once he joined the international setup but nonetheless it could mean good news for Manchester United.
Many believe the several stars who pulled out of international duty did so in order to be fresh and fit for their club games.
It’s not believed that their injuries are serious or in some scenarios even true for that matter.
Hopefully that is the case with Marcus as United’s race for a top four spot has heated up.
