Real Madrid have had their first offer for Chelsea’s Eden Hazard rejected by the club, the Daily Record reveal.
Hazard’s future at Stamford Bridge has been under intense scrutiny this season amid interest from Los Blancos and the Belgian’s current contract situation.
The winger’s deal with Chelsea expires next summer and Hazard has reportedly refused to discuss terms to extend his stay in West London, having previously stated his desire to play for Real Madrid.
The 28-year-old has been the Blues’ standout player in what has been an inconsistent season for the club this term, scoring 13 times and creating 11 assists, and the Belgian has been involved in 48% of Chelsea’s goals in the league this campaign.
The Blues are holding out for a fee of at least €100million for Hazard, who is said to be hopeful of securing a move to the Bernabeu this summer, the report suggests.
Real are also looking to secure a deal for Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar this summer, alongside their pursuit of Hazard.
