Former Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand has praised Romelu Lukaku after his goalscoring display against PSG in the round of 16 of the Champions League.
The Belgian was one of the heroes of the day after netting a brace to drag his side well and truly back into the match.
United had initially lost the first leg of the tie 2-0 in their own stadium but roared back in Paris, winning 3-1 to go through on the away goal rule.
Lukaku was extremely clinical, converting with what little chances he had as his side hardly held on to possession for long.
Marcus Rashford was the man to convert from the spot for the Red Devils’ third but without the former Everton man’s efforts, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wouldn’t be taking his side to the quarter-finals of Europe’s biggest competition.

Romelu showed his true goalscoring instinct in Paris as his first goal was one scored as he pounced on the opponent’s defender’s error to then use his strength to beat one man and then run past Gianluigi Buffon before slotting it home.
The second was even more so a poacher’s goal as Marcus Rashford‘s venomous shot from long range saw the Italian goalkeeper struggle to deal with it before the former Chelsea man reacted first to knock it into the net.
