Manchester United star Paul Pogba is said to be serious on completing a move to Real Madrid with vice-executive chairman Ed Woodward perhaps on red alert.
The Frenchman enraged fans by admitting during the international break that the Spanish side are always a dream team to play for, especially with Zinedine Zidane now returning to the capital.
Pogba had restored his reputation after seemingly underperforming during Jose Mourinho’s era and it seemed the negativity of the past was over.
The midfielder has been outstanding under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but his attempts to stir the pot has upset supporters.
The former Juventus man still has a few years remaining on his contract meaning any move abroad would likely cost the buying club a world record fee.
According to 90Min, Marca report that Paul and Mina Raiola are looking for a way out of the club with Real the favourites as he can be the successor to Luka Modric.
It’s possible the academy product’s words were taken out of context and that he was just asked a simple question by a devious journalist that he replied.
However, it’s not the first time Pogba has flirted with a move away from Old Trafford and fans were forgiving in the past due to his predicament under Mourinho but that no longer applies which is why they’re furious.
