N’Golo Kante says his sole focus is on performing for Chelsea, despite speculation surrounding his Blues future.
The 27-year-old has become one of the world’s most effective midfielders in the last three years, since shining for Leicester City during their stunning Premier League title triumph in 2015/16.
Talk of a summer move to Real Madrid has emerged recently, leading to concern from Chelsea supporters.
While the likes of Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic have failed to fire this season, Kante has remained a key presence in the middle of the park.
Despite the talk not going away, the diminutive midfielder told RTL that he is only concentrating on shining for his club:
I am at Chelsea and I still have aims here, what is said elsewhere is not important.
That is not important. I am at Chelsea and I am focused on that.
Losing Kante would be a significant blow to Chelsea, especially with Eden Hazard’s future still up in the air.
The France World Cup winner is one of the most influential players in England on his day and he would be extremely difficult to replace.
