Chelsea could complete the permanent signing of Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus in a cut-price deal this summer, according to a report from The Mirror.
The Blues landed the Argentine on loan until the end of the season during the January transfer window as Maurizio Sarri made efforts to remedy his side’s goalscoring struggles.
Higuain has netted two goals since arriving at Stamford Bridge, with both of these coming in the team’s comprehensive 5-0 victory against Huddersfield Town at the start of February.

The Mirror’s report claims that Juventus would be keen to offload the former Real Madrid star permanently as they look to shift him from the wage bill.
Higuain is understood to earn £270,000 a week on his current contract in Turin, with the Serie A club keen to avoid paying him this ahead of next season, potentially enabling Chelsea a chance to land him in a less expensive deal.
This comes after Juventus completed the signing of Aaron Ramsey from Arsenal on a pre-contract agreement, with the Welsh midfielder stated to have signed a big-money contract at the Allianz Stadium.
