Manchester United’s latest starlet Tahith Chong has reacted to his recent debut vs Reading in the FA Cup, stating he was proud during the most important moment of his career so far.
The youngster came onto the field with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s blessing for his official debut though fans will remember him first featuring in the club’s pre-season tour.
Often utilised as a left-footed right-winger, Chong was used in his favoured position as he provided some sparkling moments in an otherwise dire game.
The Dutchman is thought of as one of United’s brightest stars and there’s no real reason why he can’t make the right-wing position his own if develops quickly enough.
Tahith was thankful for Solskjaer’s decision and spoke highly about how the manager has impacted himself along with the other academy players.
Proud moment making my @ManUtd debut at Old Trafford. Dream come true! Thanks to my family, teammates, coaches and the fans for the support. It means a lot! pic.twitter.com/MlyuhGOT59

Chong made it clear how the academy stars are working even harder now that they realise there’s a pathway to the first team.
The Red Devils’ fanbase have always treasured the traditions of the club to develop youngsters and so were delighted with the winger’s introduction.
Some hoped to see Mason Greenwood or James Garner instead who are also talented players knocking on the door of first team football.
