Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has turned down a loan move to Wolverhampton Wanderers in favour of remaining with Aston Villa for the rest of the 2018/19 campaign.
As per Stuart James of The Guardian, Abraham would still consider a permanent transfer away from Stamford Bridge, but he does not want to be recalled, only to be sent out on loan once again.
The striker has settled well at Villa Park and if he’s not going to be sold, he’d prefer to stay with the Villans and help them in their promotion bid.
The England international has been in great form this season, scoring 16 goals in 20 Championship games.
The 21-year-old is currently on his third loan spell away from Chelsea, after his previous temporary moves to Bristol City and Swansea City, and the idea of a fourth loan seemingly doesn’t appeal to the striker.
He trained with the Villa squad again this morning and unless a team makes Chelsea an offer to sign him permanently, Abraham will stay with the Championship side until the end of the campaign.
