Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is keen to see the club sign one more player before the transfer window slams shut on Thursday evening.
Speaking ahead of his side’s fixture away at Bournemouth in the Premier League on Wednesday, the Italian discussed whether or not the Blues would be in the market for further additions.
Following the team’s struggles in front of goal throughout the season, Chelsea completed the loan signing of Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus, with Alvaro Morata proceeding to secure a temporary switch to Atletico Madrid.
However, Sarri has indicated that there could be yet more movement for the Blues in the transfer window, as he remains hopeful of one more arrival at Stamford Bridge.
As quoted by The Mirror, the Chelsea manager said:
I thought for us it was important to have two players. One has arrived. I am waiting for the other. If he will arrive, I will be very happy, otherwise, I have to work with these players. It’s not a big problem for me.
The Blues will be keen to add further quality to their squad before Thursday’s deadline as they aim to maintain their challenge for a top-four finish in the Premier League this season.
